Approximately a dozen students and teachers were arrested on Friday, April 15 at Catherine Ferguson Academy for protesting the planned closing of the public school for pregnant teens and teen moms which boasts a 90 percent graduation rate with 100 percent of those graduates going on to two and four year colleges. CFA is one of 60 Detroit public schools slated to be closed under the plan proposed by state appointed emergency financial manager Robert Bobb.
